Are you a community college student with no health insurance for you, your partner, or child?
Eligibility:
Any community college
student taking 3 or more credit hours per semester
from one of the plan sponsored colleges, including Distance Learning,
is eligible for the program
Benefits Start Date:
There are three Benefit Start Dates
for each semester.
Open Enrollment Period:
There is one enrollment period for each semester and total of 3 enrollment periods
per
year. You can enroll for a single semester or multiple semesters depending upon the semester. Check

Enrollment:
On-Line
or
Paper
enrollment.
Renew:You must renew your coverage on-line during the open enrollment period before your coverage ends; otherwise you will not be eligible for reentering the group plan until fall 2010 and pre-existing conditions will be applied.

Student Health Plan (NCTCCSHP) is ready for you. NCTCCSHP is simple: the semester premium rate is the same regardless of your age, gender, or where you live and work. NCTCCSHP also has coverage for your partner and children. Cigna Healthcare is one of largest health insurance companies in the nation, they have network in all 100 counties in North Carolina .
Coverage Options: You can choose
Level 1 or Level 2 Medical Coverage, with or without Dental/Vision. You also can choose student self, student+1 or student + family.
Premium:
Premiums are based on coverage options and days of coverage and is collected by semester. Fall and Spring have the same premiums and Summer is less due to a shorter coverage
period.
Premium Payment with Installment Option: Premiums can be paid by personal check by mail or by Visa/Mastercard online through secure web site or by mail.
NCTCCSHP is available to all 58 North
Carolina Community Colleges but not every college
is in the program. If your college is not signed up for the Program, please ask
your college Student Services to contact us at 919-228-6474 or email admin@n4chealth.com and we will gladly negotiate to add your college.
